Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Public Adjusters Directory (publicadjusters.fyi), a directory of licensed public adjusters and loss assessors who act for policyholders. By using the site you agree to them.
The directory
Public Adjusters Directory lists public adjusters: people who work for the policyholder, not the insurer, on a property insurance claim. Each listing shows the licence number, the body that issued it and the expiry date, as read on the public register. The site is an independent directory: it is not an insurer, a law firm or a government agency, a listing is not a recommendation, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
Accounts and claimed listings
A public adjuster can claim their listing by proving it is theirs, and then keep it up to date. You are responsible for what you publish under your account, and for keeping it accurate. Some changes are reviewed before they appear on the site. Licence number, issuer, status and dates always come from the public register and cannot be edited into a different licence.
Paid plans
Paid plans are monthly or annual subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard; changes apply at the end of the current billing period. A featured listing sorts first and carries a Featured label; a sponsored slot is a paid placement on one city page and always carries a Sponsored label. Billing is processed by Stripe: your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers. Questions about a plan or a bill go to support@publicadjusters.fyi.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Do not submit false information, impersonate a public adjuster, or abuse the site or its forms in a way that harms the service or other users. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
Content and sources
Licence data comes from public registers, credited in the footer, and from updates by the public adjusters themselves. We work to keep it current but cannot guarantee it is complete or error-free: a licence can be suspended before it expires. If a listing and the register disagree, trust the register; always check a licence number on the register before you sign a contract.
Liability
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for decisions you make from directory content, including hiring a public adjuster or the outcome of a claim: always confirm the licence with the issuing body itself.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms. For any question about them, write to support@publicadjusters.fyi.
