Public adjuster fee calculator

A percentage fee is the claim payment times the fee rate in your contract. This tool shows the fee, what you keep, and how that compares with the insurer's first offer.

In your own currency. Use the amount you expect the insurer to pay in total.

Use the percentage written in the contract.

%

Leave 0 if the insurer made no offer.

How we calculated this

The fee is the claim payment times the fee percentage, rounded to two decimal places. What you keep is the payment minus the fee. The gain is what you keep minus the first offer.

This tool takes the fee on the whole payment. Some contracts take it only on the part above the first offer. Read your contract to see which one applies to you.

The tool does not convert currencies. Enter every amount in the same currency.

Method checked on 2026-10-01.

This is arithmetic, not legal or insurance advice. Your contract sets the fee.

Questions

Is the fee taken from the whole payment?
It depends on the contract. Many contracts take the percentage from the whole payment, not only from the extra amount. Ask the public adjuster to show you the fee as a sum of money before you sign.
Does the fee include my deductible?
This tool does not know your deductible or your policy limits. Use the amount the insurer will actually pay.
Is there a legal limit on the fee?
Some places set a limit and some do not. Read the guide for your country, then check with the regulator that issued the licence.
